SIXT has catapulted into Australia as the NRMA’s new car rental partner, replacing Thrifty. Intermain Joinery were initially engaged to complete the rebranding rollout of SIXT stores up and down the east coast of Australia, from Port Douglas to Geelong, and in South & Western Australia. Our contract was then extended to locations in the NT, QLD and Tasmania.
Intermain Joinery’s Senior Project Manager conducts rigorous investigation of each new site to determine what joinery details are required, keeping in mind SIXT’s brand standards and consistency requirements. This allows our team to detect and trouble shoot potential issues with existing services, A/C, data racks, and other latent conditions early in the project. For example, some of the store locations are quite old, and required detailed shop drawings.
A typical installation would involve Intermain’s team installing framework, coordinating electrical works, and the completing the façade of the joinery on site. Lastly, the service counters and printer cabinets would be placed, in which we had already included multiple configurations for various devices in preparation for the IT team to reconnect and get the offices up and rolling. This approach allows for flexibility, with reuse of existing equipment.
