The French Beauty Academy | 50 Rundle Mall

Adelaide, SA

Pretty in pink: Welcome to The French Beauty Academy.

Intermain delivered under a design and construct contract a new education facility for a national beauty education provider. Intermain worked collaboratively with MPH Architects and
BESTEC to develop the architectural and services documentation with the client.

Careful consideration and ongoing meetings with the client team enabled a design to be prepared along with further value engineering as required to meet the target budget.

The project required a staged completion schedule – allowing the education provider to commence training prior to practical completion due to time constraints. Intermain were able to provide functioning amenities, an alternate entry and exit and a fully completed training room as part of the staged handover.

The project consisted of multiple new education rooms, new amenities block to meet code, expansive front of house entry areas with new sliding doors, along with the large open plan breakout and kitchen space to allow students plenty of area for lunch and ongoing personal learning. Back of house areas included staff zones inclusive of offices and kitchen areas. The facility needed to be able to cater for approx. 150 staff and students daily.
