These works included a complete demolition of the existing fitout and the challenge of working in a live environment, ensuring the tenant could still go about their day-to-day.
The construction of this fitout needed to be completed while still providing the client with full-time access to their kitchen area and amenities on the floor. Additionally, noise limitations made it crucial to complete specific milestones early in the morning.
Ensuring the site was a safe environment, without disrupting the client’s operating hours and business, was Intermain’s top priority. To further accommodate this, we scheduled power shutdowns over weekends to ensure AXA’s comms room was not disturbed during business hours.
When working in a live environment, a lot needs to be handled correctly to provide a safe environment for everyone and ensure business as usual for our clients. This includes programmed noisy-works and power shutdowns, an exclusion zone between the work and live office space, dust control, regular cleaning between scheduled works and separately powered spaces.
