Splitting part of an existing café tenancy, our team began by demolishing the existing fitout and performing major service upgrades, all the while respecting and protecting heritage elements. In commitment to sustainability, we retained many of the building’s original elements. The existing steel canopy was repurposed to frame off and build effective bulkheads. Similarly, the timber flooring from the building’s original construction was reused throughout. All work was undertaken successfully and safely, with an operational hotel in the surrounding buildings.
Designed by Studio & You, this project maintains a delicate balance, blending contemporary design with the building’s historic character. Fitted out with calming dark blue interiors that pay homage to the Brew and Brew brand, the new café features indoor seating and a spacious courtyard area, perfect for sunny mornings.
