The project involved significant structural modifications, including extending the lobby stair penetration and creating a new adjacent penetration to accommodate a state-of-the-art lift. We employed cutting-edge solutions such as Dincel for the lift shaft construction, ensuring seamless integration with the existing structure while maintaining the building’s overall strength.
Sustainability was a key focus throughout the project. A brand-new air conditioning system was installed, replacing outdated equipment with energy-efficient alternatives, helping to reduce the building’s overall energy consumption. As part of the modernisation, the building now boasts fully electric base building services and a rooftop solar installation, targeting a 5-star NABERS energy rating – setting a new standard for eco-friendly office spaces in Fyshwick.
Building One at Fyshwick Business Park now stands as a shining example of what modern refurbishment can achieve. A frameless glass entry slider, combined with the construction of a new rear deck, has added a touch of modernity, while boosting the building’s functionality. With upgraded amenities, DDA-compliant features, and sustainable practices at the forefront, the building is ready to welcome new tenants into a vibrant, thriving business community. At Intermain, we’re proud to have played a key role in this transformation, alongside our project partners AMC Architecture, Knight Frank Projects, and ActewAGL.
