Intermain were proudly appointed by Fortius on behalf of building owners SC Capital to complete the base building refurbishment across 17 floors of 1960’s government building 4-6 Bligh St, Sydney.

Designed in 1965 and opened by Sir Robert Menzies, the building boasts a beautiful original facade, prominent street frontage and interiors repurposed for 2021.

The scope consisted of the complete strip out of the basement, refurbishment of the ground floor lobby, and 17 floors back to cold shell ready for refurbishment. The project also included bathroom and lobby refurbishments on 17 levels, a new end of trips facility and speculative fitouts on Level 2, 6 & 1.

Using the D&C method, the client and client-side architect Studio Williams collaborated with our design team to ensure there was no misinterpretations throughout the construction.
