Andrew Johnson, Managing Director

As Managing Director of Intermain Andrew combines business management acumen with a passion for the hands-on process of building.

Working across large scale construction projects and smaller, more handcrafted custom-made joinery, Andrew gained his building knowledge in New Zealand and the UK working on residential projects where tradition and craftsmanship were paramount.

Relocating to Australia in 1991 he established Andrew Johnson Constructions, developing the skills and the team to launch Intermain in 2001. Since then Andrew has built the business into a diversely skilled commercial fitout company that always strives for the highest building standards across hospitality, retail, exhibition and commercial interiors.

Belinda Green, Commercial Manager

Belinda joined the Intermain team as Commercial Manager in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Business and Masters of Commerce degree and has experience in the areas of business analytics, finance, systems and operations.

Formerly the Chief Operating Officer with GPJ Australia, she has headed up finance and operations teams in Australia and the UK and is a specialist in troubleshooting, business planning and systems.

Belinda has mastered the ability to work across multiple projects consecutively and brings expertise and knowledge to the growing Intermain group.

James Mulligan, National Construction Manager

Joining Intermain in 2002 James Mulligan is a founding member of Intermain’s growing construction team. He began his career with Intermain as a site supervisor and project manager, moving into the role of National Construction Manager in 2014 to establish Intermain as a market leader in interior fitout projects across Australia.

Successfully developing new client relationships in Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia through longtime clients in Sydney, James manages all aspects of a commercial project from concept to completion, including budget and client expectation. With a focus on complete building refurbishments, James manages projects for a growing list of top-tier companies in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Jason Sultana, Construction Manager

With training and accreditation in carpentry, joinery, project management, building and construction, Jason joined Intermain in 2002 as a tradesperson before gaining experience across the entire business from site supervisor to project manager and senior project manager.

Now the group’s Construction Manager focusing on Sydney projects, he oversees all departments including the project management team, the designers, estimators, and joinery workshop. Over more than a decade working with Intermain Jason has been responsible for many high-end projects involving key clients across hospitality, commercial, fitouts, building upgrades and industrial fitouts.

Jim Getsios, Project Director

A core member of Intermain’s management team, Jim Getsios has a Diploma of Building and a strong 15-year track record built on experience gained within several sectors of the construction industry.

As Project Director Jim overseas all live projects, specialising in program delivery in tune with Intermain’s reputation for high quality management practices across commercial interiors, building upgrades, hospitality, retail and industrial fitout projects.

James Hollonds, Project Director

With 10 years experience working on interior fitout projects, James joined Intermain as a Project Manager in January 2011 and has specialised in delivering design and construct (D&C) projects for a variety of corporate clients and organisations. With this experience, in 2014 James moved into the role of Pre-Contracts Manager working closely with the Intermain design team to ensure efficient co-ordination of the design process during a project’s early stages.

In 2015 James moved to Brisbane to establish Intermain’s Queensland headquarters. As Brisbane’s Project Director, James now heads up a team of seven, including project managers, site supervisors, a project administrator and a designer, and oversees all of Intermain’s Queensland operations from estimating, design, project delivery and execution, to final project handover.

Jessica Marinic, Design Manager

An experienced designer with 10 years local and international experience in the design industry, Jessica was appointed Intermain Design Manager in 2014 and is now responsible for a team of eight interior designers. Her role balances skills across the planning and management of jobs from concept, design, documentation and tendering, through to project completion and handover.

Great communication skills underpin the rapport Jessica has with clients, and the success she has had managing design teams and contractors across Intermain’s commercial interiors for some of Australia’s leading companies.

Scott Nixon, Joinery Manager

Scott Nixon has over 18 years experience in the industry. He graduated with a National Certificate in Furniture Making in New Zealand and has experience working as a cabinet maker, operations manager, shopfitter, senior estimator and project manager.

Scott has a demonstrated track record in running joinery operations in the commercial sector and has overseen the delivery of large concurrent projects with the Intermain group. He now heads up Intermain’s new joinery workshop using his joinery and construction knowledge to ensure the safe and rapid delivery of projects.

Edy Bianco, QMS Manager, Workplace Health & Safety Officer

Joining Intermain in 2012, Edy has more than 15 years practical experience across all phases of Quality, Safety, Environment and Business Management Systems. He developed Intermain’s Integrated Business Management System to encompass company goals and support internal culture and skills development in tune with legislative requirements and achieving certification to ISO 9001, OHSAS18001, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO14001 management systems in 2013. This has now been implemented across all of Intermain’s operations Australia-wide – from induction training and site audits, to internal auditing to ensure ongoing compliance.
