EVERYTHING CONSIDERED

For Intermain, sustainability is central to our business strategy, and key to how we measure our success. This means doing the right thing at all times to protect our employees’ safety and wellbeing, ensure we provide an inclusive working environment, minimize our impact on the environment and give back to the communities in which we operate. While our management team provides strong leadership, we see sustainability as everyone’s responsibility – and all our employees take an active role in improving our performance.

Putting people first

Our employees’ safety and wellbeing are of pivotal importance, and we do whatever we can to keep our people healthy and happy. We aim to hire and retain the very best people, provide them with a balance of stimulation and security, and create a working environment that’s inclusive and supportive. We also place great emphasis on education and training – keeping staff up-to-date with work health and safety regulations and environmental awareness programs, and keeping an eye on our ongoing compliance by conducting regular site inspections.

Materials and waste management

Reducing our impact on the environment is a consideration throughout our entire process, from design to delivery. We aim to re-use, recycle or recover the maximum amount of resources possible for each project – including those sourced by our suppliers. Not only that, we strive to minimise waste and prevent pollution every step of the way.

Aligning values

On every project, we start by listening to our clients. It’s only by opening our eyes and ears that we can understand what our clients want to achieve in terms of sustainability, and deliver their desired outcomes. As a result, our clients can have complete confidence in how our business and sites are managed, knowing that safety, ethics and environmental responsibility are paramount.
