Intermain played a key role in designing and delivering the mezzanine-level shared space at Dickson Village Apartments for Artazan Property Group. Answering a brief to develop a multi-functional co-working, function, and gym space for tenants, Intermain seamlessly integrated the new fitout within the existing design palette of sage greens and light timbers, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic with the residential apartments above.
Intermain’s Interior Design Approach
The resulting space is a thoughtfully designed, flexible area where residents can work, exercise, and unwind. It features dedicated zones for co-working, relaxation, and games, alongside a gym that accommodates Pilates and Yoga. The integration of natural finishes and an open lounge area fosters a warm, residential atmosphere, reinforcing the sense of community within the development.
Challenges & Solutions
This project presented several challenges, including coordinating with the base build team immediately after construction, and managing low-hanging pipes while maximising natural light. Intermain successfully navigated these complexities, ensuring a bright and open feel throughout the space. Special attention was given to coordinating IT and security for the residential tower, as well as managing service shutdowns with the Coles supermarket below, highlighting our team’s adaptability and expertise in live environments.
