A-grade EOTF & amenities in the heart of the Capital

Charter Hall and Colliers engaged Intermain to undertake the demolition and refurbishment of the existing basement End of Trip Facility, bike storage area, and the upstairs core amenities to each level in this 6-storey building at 40 Bunda Street, Canberra. Charter Hall wanted to upgrade the existing amenities to improve the positioning of their asset within the market and provide tenants with more extensive facilities, resulting in a happier and healthier workplace.

40 Bunda Street is a modern, A-grade commercial office building entirely tenanted to ActewAGL. Collaborating with architect IA Design and JRA Service Consultants, Intermain developed a programme and sequencing of works that allowed for the pause of construction during monthly board meetings, and completed amenities being delivered two levels at a time. Open communication with stakeholders throughout the project resulted in minimal disruption to the tenant throughout the project.

The EOTF was constructed in the basement where existing change room facilities and car spaces once stood. The space consisted of a complete bathroom upgrade with the addition of lockers, ironing stations and hairstyling equipment and a new bike storage zone with ample storage racks and a bike repair station. The amenities are set apart by the selection of high-end finishes and fixtures, including gunmetal hardware, under-counter basins, terrazzo and finger tiles and Dyson appliances.
