Capabilities
As a full-service building refurbishment company, our offerings encompass every stage of the fitout process. However, we do regularly work with client-side Project Managers and Architects. Whatever your project calls for, we can advise on – and provide – the best solution.
Yes.
Intermain was established in 2001 and we’ve since grown into a national commercial fitout and building refurbishment company. We now have over 150 employees in teams that work out of dedicated offices in NSW, QLD, VIC, ACT & SA. We also recognise the importance of local investment in the communities we operate within, so we try to collaborate with local trades wherever we are in Australia.
We place every project we take on in the hands of an expert team that we handpick based on relevant project experience, qualifications, proven track records and current workload.
For each new contract, we assign a dedicated Project Manager as the key client and trade contact. This person will manage everything from budget to timelines, and coordinate trades to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the project. So whatever your question or query, you only need to remember one phone number.
We offer clients security and confidence in our financial project capability, with a healthy balance sheet and proven year-on-year growth. In fact, in 2019 and 2020 we placed in Australia’s top 500 privately-owned companies.

Yes. We have experience in delivering projects via the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model for a wide variety of national and global clients, including International Workplace Group (IWG), Centuria, Victory Offices and DHL.
The ECI model allows us to apply our experience and skillset to the early stages of a building project. This means we can contribute to the design process, apply innovations and advise on build-ability, sequencing and construction risks.
Joinery
Yes.
Our manufacturing facility can look at any commercial needs, we take on a diverse range of joinery projects, working with Interior Designers and Architects to Tier 1 builders. Our location provides a geographical advantage, located within 15 minutes of the Sydney CBD, we’re able to invite all clients to tour our factory and review their joinery in production.
Yes.
Our joinery factory is equipped with specialised machinery that has increased our production by 80% over the past four years. This means we can comfortably deliver joinery to projects Australia-wide.
We can complete all CAD drawings and production from our Sydney-based facility and then deliver to its final destination. However, we’ll always assess your project for cost-effectiveness, and – if it’s in your best interests – we can also collaborate with other factories closer to your project.
Yes.
We actually prefer to engage local trades, rather than flying in workers. We recognise the importance of investing locally within the communities in which we operate, so we always try to work with local suppliers.
That’s also why we have teams on the ground all around Australia, as opposed to flying staff in and out of an area. We use the Intermain Vendor Portal to manage our vetted database of subcontractors, and ensure they meet legal regulations, including reporting requirements under the Modern Slavery Act 2018.
