Intermain were approached to construct Brown-Forman’s head office fitout, who specialise in quality spirits including well-known brands such as Jack Daniels, Finlandia and Ford Gin.

The project was tendered and priced specifically off architectural documentation. The design had many intricate details which, in some instances, clashed with the building structure. We worked together with the client representative, consultants, and stakeholders during early construction stages to effectively problem solve a workable solution.

On top of this, the building we worked in was shared with the base build general contractor, who was carrying out refurbishment works in the building congruently – including the addition of a live shop ‘Petbarn’ on ground floor.

To provide an added challenge, while carrying out the works, we had no goods lift and therefore had to arrange all material to be delivered via Hiab’s. It was imperative that this was executed correctly to ensure safety between all parties using the loading zone.

The works included a feature boardroom ceiling, feature wall panels and detailed joinery throughout, tailored to work in conjunction with integrated appliances, exposed ceilings throughout the main area and overall high-end finishes and appliances throughout.

Unique to the project was the inclusion of a customised client bar and breakout area, which featured an operable wall.

This project has shaken the best expertise together to serve a unique, flexible and inclusive new headquarters for Brown-Forman – with a dash of lime. Now that’s the spirit!
