Intermain delivered a modern workplace fitout for a Federal Government Agency at its Parramatta CBD branch. Delivered in partnership with Evolve FM, the project required thoughtful staging, careful sequencing and close coordination to ensure the agency could continue operating throughout construction.
The focus was to create a practical, contemporary workspace aligned with the operational needs, while maintaining uninterrupted day-to-day functionality. Through progressive handovers and clearly defined staging zones, staff were able to transition smoothly as each phase was completed.
Working in an occupied environment introduced additional layers of complexity, including stakeholder approvals, access management and operational sensitivities. These were managed through targeted out of hours works, proactive communication and early coordination of staged occupation certificates and inspections.
Early engagement with suppliers allowed long lead items to be secured ahead of programme pressures. Additional value initiatives included recommending vinyl tile flooring to support long-term durability and leveraging the Christmas shutdown period to accelerate key milestones.
The project was completed substantially defect free, enabling the agency to commence ICT enablement and move seamlessly into its refreshed Parramatta workplace.
