Beverly Brock, Fundraising manager at Dress for Success was kind enough to be our guest speaker and share the foundations story about their success of starting up in Sydney. Beverly was accompanied by an ambassador who approached the charity for help 5 years earlier, this woman has since completed a university degree, is now employed on a full-time basis, and has recently received finance approval to buy a family home for her and her three children.
To raise money and awareness for the charity, a clothing sale curated by Dress for Success merchandisers ran throughout the breakfast with donated designer items such as Manning Cartel, Josh Goot, Alannah Hill & Cue all priced at $25. On top of this we also ran a raffle with guests going in the draw win a $500 tailored experience at “The Day Spa by Chuan, The Langham” with runner up prizes of a W Short Hotel Group voucher, and a limited addition bottle of Four Pillars Gin.
A big thank you to those who participated, within an hour Intermain raised close to $2,000 which goes directly to Dress For Success, where funds help kick start the careers of financially & socially disadvantaged women.
Intermain is proud to have Belinda Green; Commercial Manager, Jessica Marinic; Design Manager and Elizabeth Kirkland; Senior Designer amongst our leadership team. However, we recognize there is still a long road ahead of us for Gender Equality within the Property Industry.
In 2019 Intermain continues to be active members of the Ladies in Property Industry Network and continues to seek out opportunities where we can contribute to creating a more gender balanced landscape.
